Important Information Regarding Coronavirus Covid-19

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta has advised individuals who may have been exposed to the Coronavirus Covid-19 to talk with a doctor before going to the emergency room, and potentially exposing others to the virus.

The ITPEU Health & Welfare Plan has made LiveHealth Online available to all Participants at no cost. LiveHealth Online connects you, through phone or laptop, with a Physician who can advise you what to do next.

This is a very valuable benefit, offered to Participants at no cost. Especially in these uncertain times, having a physician to talk with from your home is especially important.

Here are the steps to follow in order to sign up for LiveHealth Online:

  • Download the app and fill out the required information so that it will be ready to use when you need it. It is a simple process but please be sure to follow these key steps:
  • When you input your ITPEU H&W plan ID number – found on the Blue Cross card, make sure you enter the entire member ID number, including the letters. For example, your ID number would look something like this: ITTAN9999999. Also, your name on your ID card must be exactly as on your BC card.
  • LiveHealth Online will not charge you the standard fee but you must not change the ‘drop-down’ box that asks what insurance you have. ITPEU H&W is covering this cost for you.

The ITPEU is an organization consisting of men and women of every race, religion and ethnic background, all of whom are dedicated to the improvement of their lives and of their families' lifestyles. They achieve those goals by uniting through the ITPEU to gain the strength to negotiate the best possible collective bargaining agreements. It is this unity which allows them to earn a good day's pay and benefits in exchange for their good day's work.

By joining the ITPEU, you will become a member of a Union which represents the largest number of Service Contract Act employees in this country and which, in addition, represents workers in a multitude of occupations in the private sector. ITPEU Benefit Funds Adds New Team Member

The Trustees of the ITPEU Benefit Funds are pleased to announce a new addition to our team.  Richard Larimer has been hired as a full-time consultant to work to improve communication with our members and our contributing employers about the ITPEU Annual Benefit Fund, the ITPEU Health Fund, and the ITPEU Pension Fund.   Rick will be accompanying the regional ITPEU representatives to meetings with members and employers at contract locations around the country. He will share the latest news and updates on the Benefit Funds and gather feedback from members on benefit issues and bring them back to the Trustees, enabling them to make well-informed decisions. 

Rick has a broad range of experience working with labor unions and multiemployer benefit plans — both in the investment management and administration areas - having served labor union clients in senior relationship manager roles at PNC Bank, Ullico and, most recently, Zenith American Solutions, a third-party benefits administration firm specializing in Taft-Hartley plans. 

Rick will work closely with the Funds’ other professional advisors and consultants to assist the Trustees in fulfilling their mission to provide a high-quality and affordable benefits package to the ITPEU membership. 

Your input in this process is important and Rick is looking forward to meeting with as many of you as possible over the coming year.
